Osmosis I is the first release from new label Osmosis Records. Osmosis Records is an undertaking by the Portland, Oregon based crew who host the Osmosis party series and the associated festival Osmosis in the Trees. The label is intended to promote the sound and artists associated with Osmosis events. Osmosis I is a six track compilation, featuring tracks by Priori, xphresh (Ben Bondy & Special Guest DJ), phorum, wav4ms, Carly Barton, mor-f, and muck. The release moves between deep, percussive club music, dubwise bass, and hypnotic downtempo.

Side A opens with “Colossi” (105 BPM), a mid-tempo dancefloor chugger with serious low-end weight, followed by “Back Alley” (130 BPM), a dark, intricately percussive club track. “Burning Sand” (90 BPM) closes the side with a hypnotic, sensuous drift through psychedelic terrain.

Side B moves into more exploratory territory, opening with “Fuul” (125 BPM), a sub-bass-heavy, dubwise mind-bender. “Belladonna” (100 BPM) is a gong-laden journey with elements reminiscent of gamelan, while “Ugamelon Spirit” (80 BPM) closes the record with spacious percussion and a hypnotic wood-flute ostinato.
