soccer Committee and Fergus Jones announce their debut album belongs, set for release on 4 December via Scenic Route

soccer Committee is the solo project of Dutch artist Mariska Baars, weaving together ambient and folk on releases since 2005, alongside collaborating with artists such as Peter Broderick.

Fergus Jones is a Scottish artist living in Copenhagen who has worked with Huerco S., Adrian Utley, James K, Koreless, and Charles Hayward. Jones is also the founder of record label and events series FELT.

Belongs is a remarkable debut collection from soccer Committee & Fergus Jones. The album is a collection of tracks that contain moments of hyperreal minimalism, each song feeling like a moment of clarity, with every note feeling meaningful. This level of intention is on display throughout belongs, it is both concise and hypnotic, demonstrating the power in brevity and connection.

Available on 12” vinyl the record comes pressed on black vinyl, housed in full colour sleeve with a printed heavy weight chalk paper inner.
